JUSUF Kalla’s statement, the Vice-President of the
Republic of Indonesia as the Chair of the Disaster Task Force according to
Presidential Decree No. 28 of 2018, that the state will not give credit for
victims of natural disasters in Palu, Sigi, Donggala and Parigi Moutong
districts as one of the victims of anger. Responding to that, all forums that
advocated for disaster victims agreed to hold a congress.

The Congress of Padagimo disaster victims is
planned to invite all representatives of Central Sulawesi in the Republic of
Indonesia Parliament, Governor, Mayor/regent of Padagimo, Special Committee of
debtors and Special Committee of P2B Central Sulawesi DPRD and district/city
DPRD members. “We will invite our representatives in Jakarta. We need their
commitment and attitude. We also invite Governor, Mayor, and Regents. Not only
about debtors, but about handling refugees and disaster victims in all aspects,”
said the Chair of the Congress of Victims of the Disaster, Yusrin L Banna after
the technical meeting of the activity.

The plan, the congress will be attended by 10
thousand victims from Balaroa, Petobo, Jonooge, and from the coast on Banawa
Donggala and Parigi Moutong. The congress will be held for three days with a
very solid agenda. “It can be three days. Later there will be a discussion
of each subject matter explored and discussed by each commission. There can be
a commission for handling refugees from a civilian perspective, handling
disasters and dealing with segmentation economic recovery with credit
reasoning. Depending on the development of the Congress,” he said.

The congressional output will be brought directly by
the delegation appointed to the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
“Our target before the election must be clear. The state must take care of
the victims of the disaster. We will bring this to the national forum. There
must be a clear political policy that the state does not make victims as a
subordinate or inadequate objects in disaster management,” added Yahdi Basma,
Chair of the Central Committee of the P2B Central Sulawesi DPRD.**
