AT THE BEGINNING Of the leadership period of the University of
Tadulako Rector (Untad), Prof. Dr. Ir. H Mahfudz MP continued to cooperate with
various agencies. This collaboration is none other than to encourage the
development of the Tadulako University.

As on Tuesday (03/12/2019), Prof. Mahfudz visited
the Central Sulawesi Regional Police. The visit was received by the Central
Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Police Brigadier General Drs Lukman Wahyu
Hariyanto MSi in the Kapolda Work Room, Second Floor of the Central Sulawesi
Regional Police.

The Central Sulawesi Regional Police Chief
expressed his congratulations on the appointment of Prof. Mahfudz as Untad Rector.
The cool change of Untad’s leadership, said Brigadier General Lukman, could be
a good example of succession.

“Untad as the largest educational institution
in Central Sulawesi has set a good example. Succession is done well, without
ripples. Hopefully this can be a patron so that any succession, does not
abandon the value of brotherhood and unity,” said Brigadier General Lukman
Wahyu.

On that occasion, the Regional Police Chief
discussed the experience of managerial and leadership. Brigadier General Lukman
Wahyu stressed that leaders must be role models and protectors. Meanwhile,
people who are led must also show loyalty to their leaders.

“Loyalty and integrity are very important.
People who are led must be loyal, perpendicular to the direction of their
leader. That way, the program and work plan can be implemented properly and
carefully,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Rector, Prof. Mahfudz hoped that
the collaboration could continue to be developed. At present, said Prof.
Mahfudz, many Central Sulawesi Regional Police human resources participated in
Untad.

“We were given assistance, including Polsaka
which played an important role in creating security at Untad. Assistance and
consultation were also given to us by the Central Sulawesi Regional Police. For
that, we always hope that this collaboration can continue to be maintained,
“said Prof. Mahfudz.

On that occasion, the Rector and the Chief of
Regional Police also discussed a lot about increasing human resource capacity,
both in terms of academic and psychosocial aspects. **
